In addition to heading the audit and assurance department, George is responsible for setting the strategic direction and leading the day to day management of Primus.
He is a Fellow Member of the Institute of Chartered Accountants in England and in Wales (ICAEW) and a practicing Member of the Institute of Certified Public Accountants of Cyprus (ICPAC). He holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Economics awarded by the University of Lancaster, UK.
His vision to create a legacy started almost immediately after qualifying with the ICAEW. He set up his own independent audit practice (LKS Lakkotripis Chartered Accountants) which gained swift recognition within the market and led the way to the creation of Primus by way of merger in 2015.
With a natural ability to identify talent, George has formulated a team with a blend of individual and charismatic professionals. By leading the audit and assurance department George has ensured that Primus has obtained independent market leading growth in Cyprus and has placed Primus within the top tier rankings by size in Cyprus. With over 15 years of experience in the provision of assurance services, he is considered as trusted advisor to large multinational groups – mostly within the investment, pharmaceutical, financing and real estate industry. During his career he also served as a member of the Board of Directors of the Cyprus-Poland, Cyprus-Belarus, Cyprus-Iran businesses and he also held a position as a Member of the Board of Directors of Apollon FC and UEFA Economic Representative of Apollon. He is also an approved nominated advisor for the induction of new listings in the Cyprus Securities Exchange.
